Make responsibility visible
A project team needs to know who recommends, who decides and who carries out the decision. Those roles may belong to different people. Write them down before urgency makes the distinction harder. A meeting that ends with an unnamed action is not finished; it has merely moved an unresolved question into someone else's week.
Make disagreement useful
Ask for the evidence behind a recommendation and invite the person closest to the work to explain the constraint. A revised estimate is information to examine, not automatically a failure to defend against. Record the decision and its assumptions so a later review can distinguish what changed from what was overlooked.
Keep roles honest
My Christian faith informs my understanding of stewardship, including how I treat people and commitments. I serve as Administrator and President of CBA Orlando, not as pastor. Ministry is freely given and is distinct from commercial work. Within a professional engagement, leadership means clear scope and truthful communication, not promising that authority or confidence can remove uncertainty.
